I briefly caught up with the wonderful Annette Husband in Darwin and she gave me these wonderful treasures!!!! Beautiful- thank you Annette!!!!

Etched Cuff

We just got back from the NT where I had the opportunity to meet FABULOUS Annette Husband. She is such a lovely lady. We met for a coffee where she presented me with a GORGEOUS  cuff.

I have always wanted to learn how to create the cool embossed effects on metal but I have been a bit unsure about what, where how etc. Annette kindly showed me how to etch, what materials I would need and where I could get them from. I was thrilled to bits to be shown and I am so thankful to Annette fro being so kind and generous with her time and materials. I was so lucky to be able to go to Annette's gorgeous home to watch her etch and she even gave me a cuff to bring home to finish. Thank you for making me and my husband feel so welcome at your beautiful home. Annette even printed out the instructions for me!!


Annette, I absolutely loved meeting you and I ADORE the beautiful cuff you made for me. I can't wait to get started on etching and soldering. Thank you.xx

I recently had a birthday and was totally spoilt by my family and friends. Thank you for making my day sooo FaBulouS!!!I was so touched by the way in which everyone was so sweet to me. The kids at school were so gorgeous!! Thank you to my family. I l❤ve you so much.

New Canvas and Tattoos

This a new canvas using texture paste and the cuttlebug-(my favourite). There are layers and layers of cutltlebug borders. Unfortunately, the colours in the photo are quite different in real life. I definitely need a new camera.

These are my tattoos.
The rose was chosen as it is my favourite flower and has deep personal meaning for me. The second is an ambigram of the words earth, air, fire and water. Each of us in my little family has a birthday that falls under these elements. The last is a floral tattoo on my foot. I had them done a couple of years ago.

It's nice to be home!

I've been away in Perth on a course for work and the Internet connection was really tricky and quite frustrating at times. The whole trip was just amazing and I met such fantastic people, too.

New Journal

I made a new journal this year using my favourite diamond X binding. I made the embellishments on the front using my favourite cuttlebug elements, some sculpy roses and a microscope slide.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums. I hope you all had a great day. My family treated me to a beautiful cooked breakfast which was just lovely. At lunch time I made my way to Nikkis with a few the other mums to have one of the best meals- crispy chicken salad, roast pork with all the trimmings followed by sticky date pudding. Thank goodness I walked home.
Any way, John and James went fishing yesterday. My goodness- bluebone and crays cooked in garlic butter for dinner!!!! I am living high on the hog. LOL

I had such a great day today, finished off with a beautiful dinner at the local restaurant, Nikki's. The food is amazing!!!!

Toys and New Art

My husband bought a spear gun on our recent trip to Perth and used it successfully to catch three fish yesterday. With a spear gun you have to be extremely selective and only use it for fish you intend to eat.
Extreme James used his crayfish skills to get these crays for us.
John, Extreme James and The Terminator caught Gold Spot Trevally, Crimson Sea Perch, Golden Trevally, Spangled Emperor, Blue Bone, Rankin Cod, Coral Trout and of course, Spanish Mackerel! Most were catch and release. Lovely. No creations this weekend-yet!

Curry Night
We got together for a ``Curry Night'' and feasted!!! Everyone brought a dish to share and it was some of the finest food I've ever tasted. I brought the Sam Special (Chicken Curry) and Pork Vindaloo, (Secret Family Recipe).
