Journal

I finally finished my journal!!
I bound it using the diamond X binding.
(and I even did my homework)

Thanks everyone for being so supportive of Sarah with the Live Below the Line Project. She did really well, although for me watching her go without was really hard. I felt really guilty eating normally while she lived on bread, jam and apples for the week. It was all worth it, though and she exceeded her target. Good on your Sarah!!!

Live Below The Line and WIP

Live Below the Line is part of the Oaktree Foundation. It is all about creating an awareness about living below the poverty line. Each participant lives on $2 a day- approx $1.25 in American dollars for about 5 days. The participants choose to fundraise for a specific cause and my daughter, Sarah, has chosen to raise money to provide training for a teacher in Cambodia for a year. Her target is $200.00. If you're interested in learning more about this cause or you would like to support Sarah in her effort, the link is below. Thanks for reading this.

I made a book with a woven chain binding. I had a lot of fun making this. Keith A Smith books are inspirational.

New Journals

The caterpillar stitch is just decorative and I popped in some eyelets ;)

I made a couple of journals yesterday. A couple of my friends came by and it was so lovely to create together. I will post their journals soon.

New Journal ****Update****

Thank you, Gillian, for your RAK!!!! You have inspired me to finish my journal. Gillian sent me the most gorgeous ATC along with some rusty pen nibs, a beautiful button, a pin and a great big metal key. Please check out Gillian's blog for the most gorgeous artwork and the goodies from her Etsy shop, too!
I have been uninspired lately and lacking motivation- (I have had a very busy time at work), but thanks to my wonderful friends, I feel like creating again. I have also just applied to start a new course, (externally), and so that together with working full time, as well as being a wife and mum, has me a little busy. I will try to blog regularly and find time to create a little, too.

Journal Class

I had such a lovely afternoon teaching journal making to some of my colleagues. I don't have photos of the finished products as yet, but as soon as I get some I will post them.
