The holidays have come to an end, so here is my last post before school goes back.
I used ice resin to attach the components.

Tutorial: Vintage Briolette Cap

I tried this wonderful tutorial by Erin. It was fun to do and so well written-very easy to follow. The stone is Amazonite.

More Bling

I made this little pendant using a Labradorite stone-I love this stone. It looks grey from a distance but as you look more closely, it becomes more translucent and there are black feathery veins laced through the stone with beautiful luminescent flecks of blue and green.

Steampunk Pendant and Bead Cap

I love the look of steampunk so I had a go at making a pendant out of an old watch my Dad gave me.
I filled the inside with ice resin.

I also reworked a pendant I made using  Iza Malczyk's tutorial. Iza is so talented-her jewellery is amazing.

Check out Sarah's cool necklace.

Steampunk: Futuristic machines based on science fiction or fantasy are powered by steam-as in the Victorian era. One of my all time favourite movies- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen- has great examples of the use of steampunk. The Nautilaus, Nemo's boat, and his car are amazing examples.

Ice Ice Baby...

I have had the best time playing with ice resin- it is so cool. This is the first pendant I've made using ice resin. I made a small boab out of wire and embedded it inside an open bezel with ice resing and microbeads. Thanks so much Jen!!!You're such an inspiration.

Tissue Paper Technique ATC

Have a safe and happy Easter!!!

I'll be starting yet another new job next term, teaching year 5/6, in the same school, which I'm really looking forward to. I've really enjoyed being the art teacher- I have had an absolute blast!!! Learning all the names was a huge challenge though.I got to teach some cool projects and I loved teaching drawing, that was my favourite!!!
