Nicho and Bling!

I encased the stone using the net bezel tutorial designed by Eni Oken.
This is Zebra Rock, unique to Kununurra. It is about 600 million years old. Read all about it here. Zebra rock is so beautiful in real life and comes in three varieties. Here are a few photos taken by Jess when we visited the Zebra Rock Gallery.

Sarah wearing her Zebra Rock pendant.

Donut- I'm not sure what stone I used- I bought it  a while ago.

Boab ATC

T he background is just some muslin and the boab is stamped with White and Olive Stazon on Mica.
Thanks for stopping by!!( Sorry about the slightly crooked scan).

N.B. Each boab tree has it's own characteristics and is thought to be one of the most ancient of living things in Australia. Aboriginal people used the Boab tree for water, medicine and shelter and the early settlers used the boab tree as meeting points-but also as prisons!!!!

Boab

It's been a while...
I bet all the people going to the Creative Soul Retreat must be so excited!!! I'm excited for you.
I'd love to go next year.
I've had such a full on two weeks and I have to say I've been really tired and uninspired to do much. The final boxes have now been unpacked. Thank goodness!!!
I made this altered art piece featuring a boab tree, which is an icon of the Kimberley. I used the concentric circles to represent the sun and the moon. The Kimberely Moon Experience is a very big event here and I'm looking forward to going!
I made the tree using wire which I twisted into a spiral cage and adhered it to some gears to symbolize the layers of earth.
I added the clock and wings as a symbol of  time, constancy and change.
