Boab

It's been a while...
I bet all the people going to the Creative Soul Retreat must be so excited!!! I'm excited for you.
I'd love to go next year.
I've had such a full on two weeks and I have to say I've been really tired and uninspired to do much. The final boxes have now been unpacked. Thank goodness!!!
I made this altered art piece featuring a boab tree, which is an icon of the Kimberley. I used the concentric circles to represent the sun and the moon. The Kimberely Moon Experience is a very big event here and I'm looking forward to going!
I made the tree using wire which I twisted into a spiral cage and adhered it to some gears to symbolize the layers of earth.
I added the clock and wings as a symbol of  time, constancy and change.

  5. Hi there
very cool assemblage work. I love all the cogs that you've incorporated into the piece & the vibrant colour finish too. It's like a little altar piece.

  6. Phenomenal stuff, Sam! You are on such a roll. I love it!!! So much detail and a great deal of thought looks as if it has gone into it too! Amazing.
PS> love what you wrote in my comments box about you and your daughter...you probably don't need to revisit your 16 year old self, your daughter - although different - is probably doing the job for you, lol!
