Steampunk Cuff for Sarah

Etched Cuffs

I had a go at making an etched cuff. Thanks to Annette for opening up a whole new world of jewellery making involving fire and acid...I also finished a cuff Annette made as a demo and gave to me. I just need to seal these guys now and I'm all done.

Steampunk Pendant

I made this pendant using pieces from Antiqued. The picture is of my dad with me. I miss him so much. Although I know he is not suffering anymore, the pain of losing him doesn't hurt any less.

I used several different types of weaving techniques for this steampunk cuff. 

This is the first piece I've created in 2012.

I have been trying to get back into creating things. It has been such a sad end to 2011 for me and my family, as my father passed away in December. It has been a very hard experience for all of us and I wanted to say thanks to those of you who supported me and my family during this time. x

I bound it using the diamond X binding.

Thanks everyone for being so supportive of Sarah with the Live Below the Line Project. She did really well, although for me watching her go without was really hard. I felt really guilty eating normally while she lived on bread, jam and apples for the week. It was all worth it, though and she exceeded her target. Good on your Sarah!!!
