Inbetween Days...

This ATC was made using the resin fresco technique and a microscope slide. Full instructions can be found in Artist Trading Card Workshop, a book by Bernie Berlin. This book rocks!!!

A few more days left of school- then holidays. It has been a very busy term and I just can't wait for a break.

Frida ATC

I used the Cuttlebug to make the borders and emboss the background, (which I brushed with some pearl powder in Inference Blue). I mounted the images of Frida on chipboard and wrapped the edges in tape and microbeads. I also wrapped the images in gold thread- another technique I learnt in one of Kelsey's classes.

Bombshell Stamps

`Till death...' ATC

I have been so busy lately, I haven't had time to visit you, sorry!! I have been neck deep writing reports and although I don't have many, I've probably been a bit too pedantic checking and rechecking etc....
Anyway, I received my package of Bombshell Stamps on Wednesday and this gave me extra inspiration to have everything done so I could have a little time to play.

New Canvas and Tattoos

This a new canvas using texture paste and the cuttlebug-(my favourite). There are layers and layers of cutltlebug borders. Unfortunately, the colours in the photo are quite different in real life. I definitely need a new camera.

These are my tattoos.
The rose was chosen as it is my favourite flower and has deep personal meaning for me. The second is an ambigram of the words earth, air, fire and water. Each of us in my little family has a birthday that falls under these elements. The last is a floral tattoo on my foot. I had them done a couple of years ago.

Back from Perth -again!!

We've just arrived back from Perth- yet again. We were on bereavement leave and it was such a sad time for our family.

Also, my dad is still recovering from his chemo and radiotherapy. The treatment affected his throat so eating is extremely difficult. This is almost a year on from his original treatment.

So sorry for not stopping by your blogs! Right I'm off to check out what you've been up to.

I'm back with an award!

It's nice to be home!

I've been away in Perth on a course for work and the Internet connection was really tricky and quite frustrating at times. The whole trip was just amazing and I met such fantastic people, too.

New Journal

I made a new journal this year using my favourite diamond X binding. I made the embellishments on the front using my favourite cuttlebug elements, some sculpy roses and a microscope slide.
