Etched Cuffs

I had a go at making an etched cuff. Thanks to Annette for opening up a whole new world of jewellery making involving fire and acid...I also finished a cuff Annette made as a demo and gave to me. I just need to seal these guys now and I'm all done.

Inspired by Iza

I adore the jewellery made by Iza Malczyk and I used part of her tutorial to make this pendant. I really try hard to follow tutorials, but they always end up a bit more `organic':)

Soldered WIP

Since coming back from the Territory on Friday I've been itching to have a go at creating jewellery using soldering techniques that I learnt from Annette,  but I've been a bit under the weather.
So here is a wip. I hope to add more... I made the housing by soldering brass pieces and twisted wire together. I added an Indian Princess image and cogs, then I covered the image with Ice Resin.
Thanks John for the encouragement, patience and just EVERYTHING!!!

Etched Cuff

We just got back from the NT where I had the opportunity to meet FABULOUS Annette Husband. She is such a lovely lady. We met for a coffee where she presented me with a GORGEOUS  cuff.

I have always wanted to learn how to create the cool embossed effects on metal but I have been a bit unsure about what, where how etc. Annette kindly showed me how to etch, what materials I would need and where I could get them from. I was thrilled to bits to be shown and I am so thankful to Annette fro being so kind and generous with her time and materials. I was so lucky to be able to go to Annette's gorgeous home to watch her etch and she even gave me a cuff to bring home to finish. Thank you for making me and my husband feel so welcome at your beautiful home. Annette even printed out the instructions for me!!

Annette, I absolutely loved meeting you and I ADORE the beautiful cuff you made for me. I can't wait to get started on etching and soldering. Thank you.xx
