More ATCs!

I just made my first ATC to go on my 7 Gypsies carousel. 99 to go. This is a microscope slide with black webbing spray. I used my NEW Cuttlebug embossing folder for the backgound. I just received my order from the ATC shop and became so inspired. This is a fantastic online shop. The receipt said that there were few little freebies added, enough to make one ATC. Well there were enough extra bits and pieces to make at least five! Included were things like a brass key, beautiful patterned papers, plastic ATC sleeves, laces, images, split pins and a host of other little embellishments. Thanks, Lisa, for the excellent service and all the little extras.

Old Journals

I just found some journals I made a few years ago! The long one is called a `Long Tall Sally,' and the other two are basic journals. They are a bit rough after being carted around not so gently!These were amongst the first journals I ever made.

As an aside, I lost my voice, which is really annoying when you are a teacher! The poor kids had to listen really carefully. Luckily at my new school I have a head set with a mic, like Madonna, so I can do a bit of `Voguing.' The head set/microphone came in very handy.

New Folder

I made another altered file today. I used Stampington and Collections stamps, as well as the Cuttlebug dies to create a border, mock suede from Paper Forest and some wooden letters I purchased about seven years ago from W.A. Salvage. Thanks for looking!!!

Mini File

I made this mini file today. I altered an A5 file and used many layers of cuttlebug diecuts and a trio of microscope slides as the focal point of the cover. I cut the file down to be 15 cm by 15 cm when closed.

February!

Here are couple of canvases I made last year. The first canvas is tiny, 7cm by 5 cm. I used Crackle paint and cuttlebug diecuts for the background and frame.
This canvas using the same image is 13cm by 18cm. I used cuttlebug diecuts and the colourwash technique. The German script paper was generously given to me from Kelsey O'Mullane. I used red glass microbeads to create a shadow around the image.

We are here at last!!!!

Hi!

We made it! We have set up our home here in Onslow at last. It is wonderful to be here. Everyone we have met here has been so very kind and helpful.

I am not missing the packing up or moving.

The packing up took hours- everything thing was wrapped and I mean everything! We helped with the packing and it still took from 8.15 am until 6.30 pm. Can you believe it?

The next day it was 41 degrees. The poor removalists had to move 45 cubic metres of furniture.
That took from 8.15am until 6.30 pm. Then I started cleaning.

It was exhausting.

John's parents looked after us for a couple of nights. Thanks to both of you for your kindness and generosity.

A big thank you to Beryl and Laurie for their kind thoughts and wishes for our family. Your card was so sweet.

Here are some pictures of the family on the way up.

It took two days to unpack all the main boxes. After I got over the frogs in the toilet I felt very happy.

We were invited to see one of the beautiful, deserted islands here- Direction Island, it is part of the Mackerel Islands.

Some photos are below. I wanted to take more but the batteries in my camera ran out.

I managed to squeeze in some craft. I made a new journal using the rope stitch. I added some houses by Collections Elements.
