Rose Not quite an ATC and a Blog Award

Thanks so much to the wonderful Penny at Creative Overflow for this lovely blog award. I feel so honoured to receive this. With the award I need to name ten things you didn't know about me and list 10 blogs to receive this award.
I would like to give this beautiful award to the wonderful people listed below.

...and really everyone listed on my sidebar-truly inspiring and beautiful!!!
Ten things about me-you might already know...

1. I moved from the city 2 and a half years ago. I was living in a remote community for the last two years (population 804). I am now living is a country town, (population 4000-5000).
2. I absolutely love my job as a teacher because I love teaching, but also because I can spend time with my family at school!!!!
3. Despite living in one of the most beautiful country towns ever, I am not a camper. I really appreciate the beautiful landscapes that surround me, but I am at a point in my life where I need creature comforts.
4. I love reading. My most favourite authors are Stephen King, Juliet Marillier, Phillip Pullman, J.K. Rowling and Robin Hobb. I love books that take me on a surreal adventure. I need to read every single day and when I finish my book, I'm always a little sad...
5. I am so glad I started blogging. I'm extremely shy and blogging has been such a nice way to make friends. I am so thankful to every single person who has stopped by and left a comment. It's so nice to have that connection when you've moved far away from  family, etc.
6. I find co-incidence, psychic moments and unexplainable events fascinating. I love hearing about true, weird events. If you have any, please share them with me!!
7.  I love music!! I have a wide range of songs I like to listen to from the 70s to now, some classical, some independent, but I am not an opera fan. Most of all I love listening to my girls playing their clarinets, keyboard and violin. I myself, play nothing.
8. I love watching movies. My favourites are The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Big Fish and anything directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
9. I love cooking!!! I love learning new recipes and trying new food, too.
10. This year my husband and I will have been married for 17 years and together for 23-more than half our lives together. I think that's cool!!
Phew!!!

ATC and Bling

This ATC was made with Bombshell's new range of stamps- I adore these stamps!!!! I used shrink plastic for the words and watercolour pencils to colour the image.

The pendant was made with using items from Jen Crossley's shop, A Mark in Time. I used white and patina rub n buff to rub over the edges to pick up the joins and age the watch dials. Alright, off to school to finish writing those dastardly reports...

Punked

I put together these pendants and ring yesterday. I have had a lot on my plate lately with starting up a new class, getting ready for the reporting season and all the other commitments. I'm actually feeling quite overwhelmed by everything and quite apathetic, art wise. I really love my job but I do wish it was not so consuming. It would be nice to be able just to switch off. Must be the old age....

Octopunk

Thanks so much for the wonderful birthday wishes and sharing your kind words. I had my actual birthday on Thursday. This birthday has lasted for a week!!! Thanks to my fantastic husband John for everything. You are so sneaky- I didn't have a clue about the surprise party. Thanks also to Sarah and Jessica. You girls are absolutely fantastic!!!

I made this Octopunk piece- dedicated to my all time favourite member of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and absolute legend in his own right, Captain Nemo.

There aren't many images of his Nautilus or the very cool car in the movie, but if you get  chance you should check it out.

I walk a different path.
