Ventolin Thing

I couldn't find a Pez dispenser anywhere in town, so I used an empty ventolin puffer and a few other bits-n-bobs. The kids told me they threw them all out when we packed up to move. Isn't that always the way? I used some gold and black webbing spray to get some interesting effects on top of the paint, but sadly it doesn't show up well on the photos. Please cuse tthe glue- it does show up, lol. Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments.

New Altered Piece

I made a new altered piece today. It's made up of a tuna can, an aluminium cog thing my husband had kicking around in his shed, tin (diet-coke can) cuttlebug diecuts, some wire and a chinese tea cup. I just loved all the Pez totems and light bulb shrines produced by people who attended the Michael deMeng workshops presented by Artistic Journey. I wish I had known about these terrific workshops when I lived in Perth! Check out Kelsey's blog for some cool photos. Now, I need a Pez dispenser......Thanks for looking.

Mud Crab

Check out this mud crab James caught today!

New Nicho

This one was made from a sardine can. The roses were made from a soft drink can. I cuttlebugged the wings which were made from the lids of the sardine cans. I popped a prayer box on the end.
A little twisted wire pendant- it is sterling silver and turquoise with a few fresh water pearls.

Tree of Life Nicho

This was made from a couple of soft drink cans and a sardine can. I love assemblages but I have never had a go until now. I bought a fabulous book called The Altered Object and it has the works of such fantastic artists like Michael deMeng and Linda and Opie O'Brien. Very inspiring. So I gave it a go and made this.

Remodelled Nicho

I remodelled my 1st nicho and added some freshwater pearls and chains. I punched a few holes in it to add the jewellery components.

New ATC Book and New ATCs

I used some texture paste to add dimension to the cover of this ATC book and webbing spray.
The ATC was made from an old MC Escher calendar. Thanks for stopping by.
