I made this one using a Glimmermist background with a stencil. This one was made using the soot technique. I rubbed it over with some Rubnbuff and gave it a squirt of Glimmermist. Have a wonderful looooooong weekend!!!!
I tried a couple of soot technique ATCs. I found Northwest Craft Supplies in Karratha. What a shop. It's jam packed with every type of craft supply you can imagine. The face on the Grotesque card reflects mine when I look at the the marking I have to do. I had better go to it!!
I received my prize from Linda and Opie O'Brien of Burnt Offerings Thanks to both of you for this beautiful CD. What a wonderful way to start the weekend.
I made a tissue paper ATC this arvo. This technique is the first one I learnt in Kelsey's class and is my favourite. I rubbed the tissue paper with iridescent paint. Must go as my eyes are closing after a very early (3am)departure from our town- a four hour drive to get the boat serviced-shopping frantically with half closed eyes-then home again. The nanna nap is calling....
It was devasting to watch the fires destroy so many peolple's lives in Victoria. We watched the news all weekend, disbelieving as the death toll rose. So many people are homeless with literally just the shirts on their backs. It's horrifying to think these fires were deliberately lit.
Please, if you have time, have a look and if you can donate, please do. Victorian Fires
I used some very thick crackle paint for this one in worn lipstick and pressed a foam stamp into it.I added some German scrap and stitched with some red thread. I added a little ink to calm down the original colour. It has a bit of a grungy look.
Back to school this week for all of us. Haven't made any art, just a reversible bag for the Dolly. She has an awesome teacher this year! LOL!!!
A great big THANK YOu to Jane for nominating me for the Proximidade Award. Your work inspires me, Jane. In turn, I nominate everyone on my list of favourite blogs.
