I made this piece using some odd objects such as an old fishing reel, wire, tin, Cuttlebug diecuts and some texture paste. The figure is one of those human body dolls that come with the `insides' available from the Artist's Nook.
For me, this piece is about life and the elements of earth, air, fire and water.
Sam, this is fabulous. I have seen the anatomy figures at the Artist's Nook, I love what you have done with it. I also like how you have included the detail photos as this really shows all of the textural and paint detail in this piece. Your husband is very clever, those wings are great!
OMG Sam, this is just amazing. You seem to do, with such ease, something I have always wanted to do but have never been able to let myself be free enough to do. (hope that sentence makes sense.) You inspire me to no end. I am totally in love with your work...it speaks to me...it really does. It's wonderful that John helps out...I love that! He did an amazing job witht the wings (btw, tell him I said hello :) Stampington magazine would LOVE your work girl. I'm off to check out the Artist's Nook. Love Lynn xxx
This looks fabulous Sam!!! I have 6 of those dolls that a friend in America sent over to me a couple of years ago...have yet to tackle one. Though looking at yours has made me want to dig them out and give it a go. Wonderful!
